Designed by Carl Sagan and Frank Drake, along with Sagan’s wife at the time Linda Salzman Sagan, the famous plaque attached to the Pioneer 10 and 11 spacecraft depict nude figures of a man and a woman as well as symbols representing a hydrogen atom, planetary positions relative to the sun and the planets of our solar system, together with the trajectory of the Pioneer spacecraft.
